Midsummer Haze

A bohemian cowl that looks like a shawl, but is much easier to wear and style! You know this is just what you were looking for this summer ;)

This ‘shcowl’ (shawl + cowl) is so quick and satisfying to make! You can use the recommended yarn weight or heavier like fingering or sport for a warmer results. We had it tested in all kinds of yarn, and it looks great every time!
The fringe is optional, and to me it adds the perfect Boho touch. Make any simple outfit much more interesting adding the perfect accessory like this one.

33½“ (84 cm) long at deepest point and 27¼“ (68 cm) circumference. See schematic on page 4.

Yarn: 1 skein of Linea Light by Walk Collection (50% Alpaca, 25% linen, 25% silk - 655y 600m / 100g). The sample was made using colorway Boho, or you can also use:
1 skein of Delicate Merino by Walk Collection (100% Merino - 655 y 600m / 100 g), or
2 skeins of KidMohair Lace by Walk Collection (70% kid mohair / 30% silk - 459y 420 m / 50g)
Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles, 24” long. You will also need a spare needle or dpn in a similar size.
Other notions: 6 st markers (maybe 1 in a different style for the beginning of the round),tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

20 sts and 30 rows to 4” (10cm) in Stockinette st on US 4 (3.5 mm) needles after blocking.
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but changes might result in a different yardage requirement.

This was especially designed for Jyväskylä Knit Fest 2017

The yarn I was designed with (Linea Light) was a special edition for the festival. You can find it here.
We also recommended other 2 bases from the same dyer available for anyone to purchase. You can find the photos of these 2 projects scrolling down.
